NEW YORK — Jeannieann Maffeo, 40, died Monday after suffering severe burns all over her body. Maffeo was waiting to catch a bus the morning of the attacks on Sept. 11. She was doused with burning jet fuel after the first plane hit.
Ron Clifford, 47, helped her to an ambulance. Clifford's sister and niece were passengers on the plane that slammed into the second tower.
Maffeo is survived by her parents, a sister and a brother.
